Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to copyright baby name before the birth?

We have no doubt Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby will have an unusual name, probably beginning with a ‘K’, (well, they're not likey to call it Sarah, are they?) but Kimye are rumoured to be copyrighting the name before their child is born.

No-one likes having their chosen baby name stolen, but Kimye are planning to take out a copyright at the US Patent and Trademark Office. They are not the first celebs to resort to legally owning the rights to their child’s name – Beyonce and Jay-Z applied to trademark ‘Blue Ivy Carter’.
Kanye is keen to trademark the name as the couple are planning to launch a clothing label under the child’s name – their baby basically owns a company and it’s not even left the womb yet! Talk about starting early…
A source told The Sun, “Kim and Kanye are extremely business-minded but the decision to patent their baby’s name also comes from their protectiveness about privacy. There are always people keen to capitalise on the Kim and Kanye names. This means that they could control anything to do with their daughter in the future.”
We’re waiting with bated breath to find out what the baby will finally be called, we’re hoping they don’t go with North, South or Easton though…
