Governor Okorocha Finally Sacks Nkiru Sylvanus

The governor of Imo State, Rochas Ewelle Okorocha has finally sacked Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus from his cabinet. The light-skinned ‘cry cry’ actress was sacked by the governor yesterday at the state executive council meeting held in the state capital. Nkiru wasn’t the only sacked aide of the governor as all others too were removed from office, including the state commissioners.

Nkiru served as a Special Assistant to the governor. She was first given the mandate to oversee matters concerning Imo indigenes in Lagos State before her redeployment to Owerri, which is the state capital. Her appointment raised issues as some people speculated that she got the job because she gives the governor a ‘special service’ as she is from Abia Sate and not Imo State.

OJB To Start Foundation After Kidney Transplant

Ailing music producer, singer and song writer, Babatunde Okungbowa aka OJB Jezreel, is considering starting a foundation after kidney transplant. While disclosing what the excess funds from the #SaveOJB donations would be used for, the producer’s close associate and head of the fund raising committee, Nomoreloss reveals that the musician is hoping to help other ailing patients.

“I was with OJB at the hospital the other day and we saw a lot of people with a lot more serious problems than OJB’s. You won’t believe he was shedding tears when we saw these people, and so he asked me, dude, what do we do? And he agreed that when this is over, we may have to start a foundation so we can help others going through same problem.”

OJB is still undergoing dialysis at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and plans are underway to get the required kidney transplant in August.

Popular Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi is a year older today, 17th July, 2013. Nonso was born in Enugu (Nigeria), but he is a native of Nawfia, in Anambra State. He attended WTC Primary School and College of the Immaculate Conception in Enugu. He went on to study Theatre Arts at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in Anambra State.

Nonso discovered his acting ability in church, but he had his first movie acting experience in the year 2000, when he featured in a movie titled ‘Hatred’.
