I just decided that, ok, it didn’t work. Next, I had to move on. There is no need holding on to the past – no need holding on to something if it’s not working any more. There is no need flogging a dead horse since it is already lifeless. And when you decide to bury the horse, would you not leave the grave site afterwards? You would go now. Anything that happens to you now, that sun would still set, another day would come. So, it’s your choice to either be part of the living or be in the grave yard. And I choose to be alive, enjoy my life and smile at everything that is happening – good or bad. As long as God is with you, things would always be fine with you.

I’m not thinking about anything. At the moment, I’m facing my career. If it comes, fine. If it doesn’t come, that’s okay. It’s not the end of the world because I’m convinced that God loves me.
Love has given me more than enough. I have the most gorgeous daughter in the whole world. That’s enough for me.

Nigerian First Lady To Attend UN General Assembly Of First Ladies In New York And Deliver Speech

The Nigerian First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, will participate at the High Level Forum for First Ladies at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event, with the theme “Building Bridges for Peace on Health Disability: Post 2015 Sustainable Development Agenda Initiative”, is scheduled for Sept. 24. She is expected to deliver a speech for the opening of the workshop session, while Senior Advisor, RAND Corporation on the African First Ladies Fellowship Programme, Nicole Brzeski, will chair the workshop. The session will address various creative strategies in addressing and overcoming peace challenges on various forms of women’s health and well-being. Dr Ada Okika, the Secretary-General, U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations New York State Chapter, told NAN that the time had come for realistic understanding of the significance of a transformative agenda to build peace among nations..

YABATECH students shut down campus after cult attack

There was commotion on Thursday morning at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, as academic programmes were grounded, while movements were restricted.

The development was as a  result of a protest by the students of the institution, who were expressing their displeasure at an attack on a student by suspected cult members on Wednesday night.

Some policemen, who attempted entering the campus to quell the unrest, were turned back at the gate by the students, who held everyone within the campus hostage for hours.

When our correspondent visited the campus, he observed that two fully loaded staff buses were prevented from entering the institution.

Subnews learnt that a clash between the cultist and some students the previous night had kept everybody awake.

Undergraduate ingests liquid cocaine packed inside condoms

A 32-year-old undergraduate, Chizoba Nwabuwa, has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for ingesting 25 wraps of male condoms filled with cocaine.

In a statement by the NDLEA’s Head of Public Affiars, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, the agency said the arrest was made at the newly upgraded Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu State.
